Inspired to guarantee and shape the importance of culture and art education in regular secondary education in the future, I deem it of importance to take young people and adults along on a journey into stories and make them enthusiastic for culture education and formation at national and international levels.

I believe it is important to put people in the centre and to reflect continuously about culture and art education, formation and research within the educational landscape. When you teach, draw and write, you have an ongoing interaction which keeps your work fresh, and you can keep on experimenting and researching.

After twenty years of experience in teaching, I applied for leadership positions withing the Part time Art Education and Art Secular Education in 2017 and 2018. For this, I wrote and produced an audiovisual presentation for the city of Aalst, which outlines my vision for the Academy of Visual Arts.

In the field of culture education and formation, I like to research within my field of expertise, the importance of illustrating and telling stories withing the visual and audiovisual arts.

I believe it is my duty to make my organisational, mentoring and communication skills available to everyone who wants to participate in art and culture education. Together with educational institutes and culture partners, it is my mission to teach Visual and Audiovisual Arts, share my knowledge and expertise and keep on researching, contemplation, and lifelong learning.
